Lincoln Hill Farms is in the Finger Lakes town of Canandaigua. It’s well worth the 45 minute drive from Rochester. With over 80 acres of countryside, the venue has a lot to offer. This wedding venue has a lot of conveniences, including on-site catering and florists.
The grounds are the best part of a Lincoln Hill Farms wedding. Summer ceremonies can take place in front of the sunflower fields. Cameron and his groomsmen posed for portraits in the hops field. During golden hour after the ceremony, the hops field came to life around Cameron and Kari. We were able to get some incredible portraits as they explored together.
In its aesthetic and offers, Lincoln Hill Farms aims to honor the site’s history of homesteading. Lincoln Hill Farms has farm-to-table experiences and craft beer. In the background of some of Cameron and Kari’s portraits, you can see the hops that the venue actually uses to brew the beer.
One cool feature of Lincoln Hill Farms is that the venue has 11 glamping tents available to rent. Kari and her bridesmaids got ready in one. After the ceremony, Kari and Cameron headed back to grab a quiet moment together. The tent was a unique twist on the typical getting ready location. Undoubtedly, couples wanting to make their wedding events last all weekend would enjoy renting out multiple tents for guests.
Cameron and Kari are truly some of the most welcoming and kind people I have ever photographed. Cameron is a forest ranger. Needless to say, they both love the outdoors, and they prioritized spending time with their people. As a result, the day felt very carefree. Their joy was evident throughout the day.
In my time as a Rochester wedding photographer, I’ve rarely documented such happy, emotional reactions as Cameron and Kari had when they saw each other at the ceremony. Their joy was so palpable. They showed just as much excitement exiting the ceremony, but they were grateful to have a moment alone afterward. It allowed them to soak in the moment and be present with each other.
Kari and Cameron’s Lincoln Hill Farms wedding was full of spontaneity and deeply personal moments. They ditched plans for a formal reception entrance and headed to cocktail hour to enjoy their guests’ company. Everyone was in such good spirits that a random dance party broke out! After emotional speeches and a tasty dinner, one of their best friends performed an original song dedicated to them. It was such an intimate moment!
The reception really moved into party mode when the dance floor opened. Kari and Cameron’s guests made the most of the music and the ice cream that arrived later in the evening. The sundae bar was the literal cherry on top of the amazing day.
