Adventure Session in the Glencoe
You just never know what type of conditions you’re going to encounter in the Scottish Highlands. This engagement session in Glencoe, Scotland with Bree & Gavin was just so special. As we drove through the glen to the viewpoint of the Three Sisters, sunlight was cresting the western ridge and bathing the mountainsides with hues of yellow. In a place that is often extremely windy and gloomy, having such incredible lighting conditions was a treat that we felt beyond blessed to experience.
Exploring Around the Three Sisters & Buachaille Etive Mór
We began our session wandering the deer trails below the Three Sisters Viewpoint, taking in the vistas and chasing the best patches of sunlight as it moved through the valley. Glencoe has so much to offer and the Three Sisters are a true highlight for anyone looking to have their engagement session or elopement in the Scottish Highlands. After exploring the valley, we moved east toward Glen Etive where the sunlight had turned a deep gold, creating the softest sunset colors that were perfect for their photos. Some of my favorites from the whole session are from our time running around the fields in front of Buachaille Etive Mór – a prominent peak standing tall on the horizon. As the sun started to fade, we continued our journey along the river through Glen Etive, admiring different viewpoints and getting cozy in the patches of snapdragons along the route.
